 The New Kentucky Colonels started in 1981 when Colonel Eric Lewis formed the group, the group  has had several members in it's many years of it's career.

Won several awards: Fiddle and band contests, Award from Country Music Hall of Fame, Award for best of television show, Tri Mtn Television,  and Light the World,  commissions of Kentucky Colonel,   Song writer of the year, nominee, SPBGMA  1998,  Ozarks Cabin Awards, George D Hay Society,  Award from Bill Monroe Foundation.

Songs written:  Written and recorded and published a number of songs, our songs played on several stations across the US, Canada and Major play lists on Radio Europe.  Music Distriburion in the Europe market.

Performed with most of the names in the business
Performed at Opryland, Gibson Bluegrass Showcase, Station Inn, Country Music Hall of Fame, appeared on the National RFDTV on the Cumberland Highlander show at Rosine, KY 6 times, appeared on the WSM Radio in Nashville as guest. Guest to Eddie Stubbs, WSM, on his intimate Monday evening at the Ford Theatre with Chrystal  Gayle. Featured group on the induction awards of George D. Hay Society Hall of Honor.
